This German puzzle is also known as Buchstabensalat, which roughly translates as ‘letters salad’! By simply mixing up the letters A-D in a grid, a challenging, but fun, logical puzzle is created.
Aficionados of the late, great 'Tough Puzzles' will note a similarity to the puzzle Easy as ABC. For both puzzles, when solving, it helps to know where the blank spaces could go.
Place a letter from A-D in certain cells so that every row and column contains one of each letter. All other cells are left empty. Letters outside the grid indicate which of the four letters is placed closest to that edge of that row or column.
