The Japanese puzzle company Nikoli claim this puzzle as their invention. A collection of these puzzles was first published by Nikoli in book form in 2005 under the name Shikaku. The puzzle itself is easy to understand, as illustrated by the downloadable example puzzle and its solution.
Instructions
Divide the grid into blocks that are either square or rectangular. Each block must frame a single number, and each block must contain the same amount of cells as the number it frames.
