An elaborate form of continuous crossword, where answers to clues run in one of four directions: inwards, outwards, clockwise and anti-clockwise. Unusually, one set of answers (outwards) end, rather than begin, on their respective clue numbers.
Each letter in the grid is shared by at least two answer words. This makes solving straightforward but, as there is complete intersection on certain words, compiling can be a challenge.
