Chain Letters

Also known as:

A grid-based puzzle with a single set of clues. Each eight-letter answer circles a single black cell. The choice of direction (clockwise or anti-clockwise from the corresponding grid number) for each answer is dependent on the pre-set letters. The way the answer-blocks intersect, typically on three or four cells, results in a slightly unsatisfactory grid, with peculiar blank spaces.

Enter the eight-letter answers into the grid, either clockwise or anticlockwise (you decide!).
