From the editor, Francesca...

“It’s been an especially busy year for me. Twelve months ago, we introduced our first bumper issue with 32 extra pages. I included extras of the most popular puzzles and also tried out some new puzzles. But I’m relying on you all to let me know which of the new puzzles you enjoyed before I can decide if any of them will become permanent additions. Many of you have already been in touch to tell me what you thought of the extended issue and the new puzzles. I won’t make any changes without taking your opinions into account.

I know I’ve written before about how much I enjoy receiving letters and emails from readers, but I haven’t mentioned the pleasure I get from hearing about the role puzzles play in your family’s lives. Just as I was introduced to puzzles by my dad, and we went on to share this passion throughout his life, many of you have also loved passing on the joy of puzzling to your children and grandchildren.

I make sure that Puzzler Collection reflects the different generations, with the most up-to-date cultural music and media attributions alongside throwbacks to black-and-white films and LP records! One thing I have learned from my contact with Puzzler Collection readers is how willing you are to broaden your range of general knowledge. Like me, you love learning new words and are always curious and open-minded. Don’t worry, I’m not planning on challenging you too dramatically, just explaining why each magazine spans such a wide range of references!

If you’re a new reader, get in touch and let me know everything you like (or dislike!) about the magazine. It really makes a difference.”

From the readers...

“Always a favourite of mine, lots of quality puzzles to play, keeps the brain ticking over nicely!”

“I really love Puzzler Collection – it's such great value with endless hours of a really great variety of puzzles to solve. I've been buying it for years and have never got bored yet!”

“I have always been a great fan of puzzles, and this magazine is the tops for giving us mixed types. This is the best format for keeping one’s brain alive and active. Full marks to those who compose these puzzles.”

“I really enjoy Puzzler Collection. The puzzle quality is high throughout and there is a good variety – sometimes I love a really taxing puzzle but at other times prefer something a little easier just to keep my brain ticking along. The only fault I could find is that it's not long enough to last the month!”

“One of the best puzzle books around. I have subscribed to Puzzler Collection for many years.”
