Guide to The New Puzzler Website

Welcome to the all-new Puzzler.com – your one-shop stop for puzzles!

The new site looks very different to the old one (pre-June 2014) so below you'll find information on:

Logging in for the first time 

If it's your first time logging in to the new puzzler.com site, please choose one of the following three options:
  1. If you are a registered user of the old puzzler.com site
    You may have used the old puzzler.com to enter competitions and play puzzles. If you have a username and password for the old site, they will still work on this new one – simply enter them into the relevant fields in the Login area. You will be asked to confirm or set up an email address – you can then use this or your username to login in future.

  2. If you are a magazine subscriber
    Visit the Login area and choose the link that reads: 'If you do not have a puzzler.com account but do have a magazine subscription, please click here.' You will be asked to enter your subscription account details: your account number (eg 70123456), your subscription title, and your surname. Once you have completed these fields, you will be asked to confirm or add an email address – you can then use this to login to the site in future.

  3. If neither of the above applies
    You can order a subscription or a product from puzzler.com without creating an account but if you want to create an account (so that your details are saved for next time you use the site) or to enter a competition, you will need to register with the site. To get registered, either visit the Register area and follow the instructions, or create an account after completing an online order.
Answers to other FAQs 

Please read through the following for quick answers to common questions. If you do not see the answer to your question, please get in touch via our Contact Us page. 

  • I tried to register but was told that my email address is already in use
    This means that we already have your details in our database. Please go to the Login page and login with the email address you tried to register with, and your password. If you don’t remember your password, use the 'Forgotten Password?' link on the Login page.

  • I share an email address with someone else in my household – how does this affect login?
    Each puzzler.com account must have a unique email address registered against it. If you share an email address with someone else in your household, only one of you can have the shared email address registered against a puzzler.com account, and the other will need to set up a second email address to register against their puzzler.com account. To change your registered email address, visit the Login area and login with your username and password from the old puzzler.com site, and then register your new email address to be used to login in future.

  • What information is in the My Account area?
    In the My Account area you can view your profile; your data protection preferences; any competitions you have entered online in the last three months (since the new puzzler.com site went live); any orders you have placed online; and your subscriptions. When searching for your subscriptions, you may be asked to verify your account details, in which case simply follow the instructions.

  • While searching for my subscriptions, I was told that there may be multiple users for this account. Why?
    This is because we may have your details in our system twice – this could be because you registered when we already had your details. In this situation we will request that our subscription house, Dovetail, verify the subscription account. You will need to leave the My Account area temporarily and when you return, we hope to be able to confirm your subscription.

  • How do I change my subscription delivery address details? 
    Changing your details in the My Profile area of your account will NOT change your subscription delivery details. You need to visit the Subscriptions area of My Account and update the address details for your subscription/s. Please note that the address in your My Profile area needs to match your subscription details to ensure your subscription account/s are viewable.
Teething troubles

As this is a new site, it's possible that you may spot an oddity or error, or experience a glitch (though do please check the FAQs above).
