Labyrinth

An interstitial variant of Hanjie from Trevor Truran that, extraordinarily, provides two puzzles in one: the solver must find the single path through the labyrinth, passing once through every cell en route; but, before negotiating the labyrinth, the solver must first construct it, with the aid of hanjie-style clues.

The solving process is the same as for Hanjie and the resultant maze makes a refreshing change from a pixelated picture – a picture that all-too-often has only a tenuous connection with the object it purports to represent.

Instructions:

The clues above the lines tell you how many consecutive segments of line are to be marked as hedges in each row and column. There is a gap of at least one segment between adjacent hedges on a line. When the labyrinth is complete, find your way through, from the start to the finish, passing once through each cell on the way.
