Q Kriss Kross

Now in its fourth decade, this was the first magazine to be launched for kriss kross enthusiasts.

Seventy per cent of the puzzles are kriss kross and Fitwords. A dedicated team of experienced compilers creates every single kriss kross by hand.

Some of the puzzles have innovative length tips on the grid – these aid the solver without diminishing the puzzle.

In the magazine there are puzzles that are closely related to the kriss kross. Cube It is a multi-faceted kriss kross. Kross-Filler is an intriguing combination of a wordsearch and a kriss kross. There is a variety of other puzzles, including crossword, wordsearch, Spot The Difference, Number Kriss Kross and codeword.

Each issue runs the Q Cash competition in which readers can win a share of 2,000. There is a first prize of 1,000, two second prizes of 250, and five runner‑up prizes of 100. This competition also runs in other Q titles. There are also occasional seasonal competitions.

The puzzles are carefully designed and some are attractively illustrated.
