One of the largest gatherings of arroword puzzles that can be found in a magazine.
Many of the puzzles incorporate special features, such as quiz questions where the answers can be spelled out in tinted squares once the puzzle has been solved. Celebrities and film stars often make an appearance, together with interesting snippets about their lives. Occasionally, puzzles are arranged in linked pairs, or even in threes. Quiz questions are introduced from time to time. Other puzzles such as wordsearch, crossword, codeword and kriss kross are also included.
One pleasing aspect of these puzzles is that the answers will always be words that are familiar to you, so you won't have to deal with any of those obscurities that usually plague arrowords.
Each issue runs the Q Cash competition in which readers can win a share of £2,000. There is a first prize of £1,000, two second prizes of £250, and five runner‑up prizes of £100. This competition also runs in other Q titles. There are occasional seasonal competitions.
The nature of arrowords means that the clues are often small, but we have done our best to get around this problem by moving away from split clue-boxes. The title has been designed to make it easy to read.
