It's Only Logical

Have you heard the one about the little old lady and the microwave? She used to go for walks in the rain and dry her wet trainers in the microwave. One day, she was given a fluffy pet dog. Her daughter thought it would be good company for her mother on her rambles… When it rained, it seemed logical to the little old lady, to dry the dog the same way she dried her trainers.

A gruesome example of how a logical approach can lead us astray. Like the man I saw who tried to reverse his car the entire length of a one-way street: when stopped, he claimed that he wasn't doing anything wrong, because the car was facing the right way.
